Experience self care and deeper connection to the Earth by grounding of the subtle body energy with Yin & Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, also known as "Yogic Sleep" or sleep with awareness, is a unique way to unwind the nervous system, the body's foundation of well-being. with guided imagery and body scanning we will take a systematic approach to relaxation that allows the practitioner to physiologically and psychologically sink into it. A holistic approach to healing the physiologic, neurologic, and subconscious body. Yin Yoga offers deeper access to the body, targeting the connective tissue and fascia, with poses being held for 3-5 minutes. A more passive style of yoga, this class will focus on seated/reclined postures encouraging the release of “stuck” energy along the spinal pathway. Through release we create space, allowing our Prana, life force energy, to flow freely and with ease. We will begin with approx . 30 min of Yin Yoga to prepare the body for relaxation, followed by a 45 min Yoga Nidra. All levels and abilities welcomed.
