Join me for a three part series introducing the practice and principles of Yoga. We will explore basic postures (poses that you will see in almost every yoga class), touch on theory (what is yoga, exactly?), and basic meditation/breathwork (don’t worry… you don’t have to be good at sitting still!). It is my sincere desire to encourage conversation, demonstration, and play time, that will build the foundation for a healthy and safe yoga practice. This informational series is designed to meet the needs of a brand new beginner or the practitioner who wishes to re-connect with their yoga practice.

Yin & Yoga Nidra--The Full Wolf Moon

UPDATE!! DATE CHANGE! POSTPONED TO 1/27/19 DUE TO SNOW STORM! Join us as we celebrate the Full Wolf Moon with a class of Yin & Yoga Nidra on January 20th, 2019! Yoga Nidra, also known as "Yogic Sleep" or sleep with awareness, is a unique way to unwind the nervous system, the body's foundation of well-being. with guided imagery and body scanning we will take a systematic approach to relaxation that allows the practitioner to physiologically and psychologically sink into it. A holistic approach to healing the physiologic, neurologic, and subconscious body.  Yin Yoga offers deeper access to the body, targeting the connective tissue and fascia, with poses being held for 3-5 minutes. A more passive style of yoga, this class will focus on seated postures, supporting your connection to your intuition, inner wisdom, and communication (your inner Wolf Qualities!). We will begin with approx . 30 min of Yin Yoga to prepare the body for relaxation, followed by a 45 min Yoga Nidra.  

$20 per person

This class will be held in the Yoga Studio at Back to Health Chiropractic in Sanford, ME . Please bring your yoga mat, a blanket, and a pillow for your comfort during Yoga Nidra. Feeling a bit sluggish after the winter?  Join us for a 6 Week exploration of cleansing the body through Yoga asana (poses) and breath work/meditation.  Gentle Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga will be offered along with time devoted to breath work/meditation intended to  cultivate feelings of vitality and well-being in the body and mind.

No experience necessary; suitable for all levels.
