Yoga

Various styles/traditions offered. In Yoga we explore a series of poses designed to increase strength and flexibility while linking breath with movement.  Poses/options are offered for all levels of practitioner.

Chair Yoga

Mon – Sat. by appt. 

Gentle and/or chair yoga is available to the practitioners of all levels who wish to take a softer, more nurturing approach to their yoga practice.  Guided seated and/or standing postures with an individual approach.   Chair yoga explores poses for strength, balance, flexibility as well as improving range of motion overall and is ideal for beginners or persons with physical challenges who wish to practice yoga with the support of a chair.

Yoga Nidra

Mon – Sat. by appt. & as scheduled, see "Events" page FMI.

Yoga Nidra, also known as "Yogic Sleep" or sleep with awareness, is a unique way to unwind the nervous system, the body's foundation of well-being.  With guided imagery and body scanning we will take a systematic approach to restoring the body that allows the practitioner to physiologically and psychologically sink in to relaxation.  A holistic approach to healing the physiologic, neurologic, and subconscious body.

Yin Yoga

Mon – Sat. by appt. 

This passive-style practice is ideal for all levels of practitioner.  Poses are seated and supine, held for 3-5 minutes, and are designed to facilitate the stretching of connective tissue around the joints of the knees, hips, sacrum, and spine allowing access to the deeper levels of fascia.  A wonderful compliment to more active styles of yoga you may practice currently.

Reiki

Mon – Sat. by appt. 

In a standard Reiki session, energy flows from the practitioners hands to the client.  Treatments are given to a clothed client while on a massage table, seated in a chair, or even standing, depending on the client's needs.  The practitioner places their hands on/above the client's body in a series of hand positions.  These positions are held from 3-10 minutes each.  Hand positions typically include head, shoulders, stomach, and feet with a whole treatment lasting approximately 60-75min.  

Reiki Certification/Education also offered.

Private & Semi-Private Instruction

 

YOGA:

Private and semi-private instruction can be a  terrific way to experience your yoga practice on a different level!  Private lessons offer the student time to ask questions, delve deeper into their practice, and go at their own pace.  Semi-private lessons give the student  the opportunity to explore and experience yoga with the comfort of a friend (or two!) or family member!  This is a great way to share yoga with your significant other or close family member (child, parent, sibling...anyone!).  

If coming to the office isn't an option or you'd prefer to practice in the comfort of your home, Holly is available for home instruction. Please inquire! 

Group instruction available by appt.  Here are just few examples!                         

 Bridal showers (imagine a Yoga Nidra session of relaxation for the bridal party!  What a way to spend time together and relax before the festivities!), Small gatherings of friends (girl's night yoga?)  Beach Yoga, Yoga on the lawn at your home, Yoga by the pool, .... Don't see your scenario here? REIKI

Reiki is spiritual in nature and is not a religion.  Reiki is a subtle energy; different from electric, chemical, or others kinds of physical energy.  Reiki has a positive effect on any form of illness or negative condition.  This includes minor conditions such as cold/flu, bee stings, headache, stomach, anxiety, tension, as well as more serious conditions such as cancer, heart disease, depression, negative effects of chemotherapy, post-operative pain, MS, etc. Reiki can be a wonderful compliment to traditional medical care and is becoming more widely used and accepted among hospitals world-wide.  The ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity, nor does one have to be able to meditate. It does not take years of practice. It is simply passed on from the teacher to the student. As soon as this happens, one has and can do Reiki. Because of this, it is easily learned by anyone.

Reiki is a pure form of healing not dependent on individual talent or acquired ability.  The feeling of being connected directly to the Universal healing energy is clearly apparent.

Reiki is not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. It is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. This process opens the crown, heart, and palm chakras and creates a special link between the student and the Reiki source.  The Reiki attunement can be a powerful spiritual experience. 

Usui Reiki attunements are given in private/semi-private lessons; in your home or at my office.  Please contact me with questions or FMI.
